A Handwritten Letter (Blog) for JOYCELYN
To Whom We Call Dayday, Making new friends as an adult is hard. One of my favorite Aunts once told me that you want to have older best friends, and younger best friends. The reason for this would be, you bury some...and some bury you. It's not macabre, but life's reality. So, you--are the 'youngest' forever 25ish bestie. It's your birthday and you deserve the bestest of celebration of life in any and many forms. From time well spent, conversations well discussed, analysis worth bulletpointing for, and the neverending deciphering and decoding the most complex of all-- our human desire to have connection in this modern day of a conundrum, yet you excel in every avenue of your life. Not because you have it easy, if anything, your cards were dealt with challenge, sorrow, struggle, and most of all heartache from love and grief, but as the person you are--you came through. Just as the rise of a Phoenix from the ashes, you always come through your pain glowing even better...
