First World Problems. Seriously.

Technically, by definition

"First World" (n) the industrialized capitalist countries of western Europe, North America, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

But according to modern-world society, I throw this term around each time I have to bounce back in perspective. Basically, for my own good.

Lo and behold the hospitality industry, where guests feel like we owe them the world including not having to 'fall-in-line' during any type of inquiry at the Front Desk. Meanwhile, I keep thinking in my head, "don't you fall in line in a drive-thru at In-N-Out? Or even the line in the bank right before the teller? Also, the grocery line, right?" I mean, do you seriously ask the drive-thru line, bank teller, and your cashier at the grocery is 'DO I HAVE TO FALL IN LINE'? It's one thing if we were not culturally accustomed to falling in line as common courtesy to one another, but I think this is pretty common knowledge to absolutely every American, you gotta wait your turn. Apparently, in the industry and city where I live--this is not happening as a defining common knowledge.

What happened to us, how did we get here?

Increase a little gratitude from your heart with each anxiety and stress you feel. I randomly saw this on instagram this morning:

1. Name 3 things you are grateful for
2. Find something you need courage for
3. Think of someone you want to get healed

By practicing this everyday, we make the world a little less about ourselves and what we lack. Maybe we won't appear a little too first world than others. I constantly experience people everyday complain about the most questionable details in their lives and I immediately dismiss my own, without any judgement, and then--I thank myself for even having the right to write this blog freely.
