Love Your Selfie

What is the psychology behind your selfie?

Ever wonder what is this new millennial culture of 'selfies'? Well, back in the film-age of cameras you have to develop, selfies were existing among us. It is a way of self-expression of how we want the world to perceive us. But, what is the feeling with every self photography?

For this, I try to dive into the meaning behind self-expression and confidence behind every selfie. I have pondered upon the different types of selfies, filtered, edited, and the raw.
Basically, the good, the bad, and the fugly.

(This research is an example of what selfies mean to even public personas in our modern society. Perception is everything in public office, so I am not surprised)

In Snapchat talk, we often see selfies with the ever-changing filters, or of the dog-eared forever and ever amen. It's all cute and raises the confidence of mostly girls to love themselves. However, it also raises the question, do you love yourself-self? Or do you love your Snapchat-self? The perception of yourself to the outside world is a whole new psychology of learned behavior in my opinion, that really promotes self-love.

The level of self-loving will be relative to each individual, as some may be so confident that they don't care if 'they woke up like this' all Bey, or freckles out and all--but realness is key. You want to be as true to your selfie as possible, both physical appearance and aura. Sometimes, the snapchat filter could give a window to what your life is like, is it light-hearted and fun? Or if you truly truly enjoy solo-karaokeing in your car? Or are you just all about that food trip?

Whatever it is, be true to it as much as possible.

I'm sure there are going to be numerous comments and research about selfies and how you wish to be perceived. The bottom line to all this is are questions of: "are you happy about yourself?", "am i worth it?", "do I feel beautiful?"

Rather, answer yourself: "I am amazing, I feel great, I am awesome, I'm am frikkin beautiful". Now, with or without that filter, flaunt yourself... show the world that confidence, raw is sexy! I want to see women & men and their perfect smiles, unfiltered and analog. I wanna be able to tell who you are when I see you, not by holding up the snapchat filter just to discover you in the crowd.

There--I said it. I love how cute these filters are, but LOVE YOUR SELFIE, and forget everything else.

'coz honestly honey--no one cares about those dog ears.
