What Are These Mistakes We Make?
I was told from a very young age that we learn from our mistakes. We are trained not to fret, yet we shiver from the thought of making them. We fear that we can't impress out parents enough, we won't get approval. We also are mostly self-conscious as if Big Brother is watching at all times. We regret to realize our being, as humans--rather we glorify the doing and achieving. More often that not, we are left with all these achievements, and feel empty. We witness people, get it all the way to the top and they all look so sad and lonely.
Why is that?
We need to step back, rewire this belief of mistakes we make and just be.
The more mistakes you make, the better you get at it. The better you become an expert from failing time and time again, realizing what does work and what doesn't. It gives you a Go-Getter Attitude, meaning-- you frikkin' go for it no matter what, like a kindergarten 5 year old toddler, no fear in site. The worst thing that could happen, really, is just failing--that you, realizing it doesn't work. Other than that, you gained experienced and understood what DOES not work. So great.
Moving on.
All these people who made it to fame and success. They all share the same stories. We idolize them, thinking this happened overnight. No honey, they are up there because they share those 'failure stories' like a badge of honor. They share how many times they should've quit and walked away, and that very moment was where the magic actually happened.
