With a Little Help From My Friends

Clearly, just by having that clear presence of another person can increase the possibility of yourself surviving another given day when you feel desperately alone. No man is an island, no matter how much you value your solitude, once in a while--it's but human to feel the need to have 'someone'. The need when one truly feels 'alone'.

I believe in the power of togetherness and community, I also believe in the power of what real friends can do, in spite of distance and time spent together. The real ones, they tend to stay as highly qualified anytime you may need them. I've tested mine, by far, for quite some time now--and to have these people in my life, I am always and forever will be grateful.

Be that someone to anyone. Be that friend that pays it forward, because in all things every changing, that could be you needing that friend you were once to someone.

Sometimes, a real friend can be that someone who can just sit there, across the phone line or chat room, just being HERE with you. No words need to be exchanged, half the time. Just be here, with them--acknowledge the unspoken feeling that all they really needed was to be witnessed in their time of need. Sometimes, we often think that this feeling of being alone is real without realizing that there are people out there willing to be here with us.

Sometimes, it only takes one person to change that feeling.
