Judgments We Hold

I do believe that the simplest hack of the universe is the most difficult to achieve: releasing judgment.
And by judgment, I mean it's what we hold onto ourselves more than others. We weren't born with this type of trait, but as we grow older, society and our environmental pressures paved our way into being judgmental beings. We unconsciously judge all throughout the day, it's exhausting if you actually catch yourself doing it.

I am currently reading Gabrielle Bernstein's Judgment Detox and have realized we carry this issue, judging ourselves then others too. She explains that you want to put LOVE on the altar, first and foremost to your everyday awareness.

In my own practice, I think the first step of releasing this is by understanding what it is and does to your body, how it feels, and what it does to you physiologically, emotionally, and mentally. The next step is bringing you this type of awareness up to your consciousness, rather than leave it in the unconscious. There are a lot of practices on how you can empower your brain into releasing this type of negativity.

Judging yourself from the moment you wake up, release and replace that thought with gratitude instead. Come to think about it, you woke up--got up, and went on with your life. Some people don't get to do that. So moving forward, let's do less judging of ourselves and more gratitude towards our bodymind and self.
