Gratitude Giving

I have noticed that there lies a lot of controversy and panic around the thanksgiving holiday. What I have noticed too, that through the years this tradition have been personalized and customized to each family's tradition.

Traditionally, it starts with the Turkey--the rest of it all, you get to pick and refine according to your family's own taste.
What it means to me is all about gratitude.
We surround ourselves with each other, around the table--but really, you remind each other of the concept of 'togetherness' and 'conversation', and 'quality time'. We lose this concept oftentimes throughout the hustle & bustle of 364 day-cycle.

I want to re-frame this American holiday into Gratitude-Giving for my own little family and close friends. I remind myself everyday of being grateful in times I question the struggle and the pain. With every reminder, I snap myself back that I am ever so lucky to even have the chance to post this blog entry.

So, to everyone who has an underlying stress around this holiday--embrace it a little, quit the bullshit, and just remind each other that we are blessed to be alive and able to celebrate this season
