Grief to Gratitude

In light of recent events of the Las Vegas Massacre on the night of October 1st, a flood of emotions run through me.

Anger
Confusion
Fear
Grief
Sadness

All of which we know completes the human experience, that these feelings are part of what makes us who we are. We question unknown events-- the what, the why, the how, and all the mysterious things breaks us at some point. We look around for comfort, we seek a reminder of safety and security from each other, we are reassured of our humanity and that evil exists, but most of all of our mortality and the meaning of what it is to be part of the human race.

in tragic events, we cling to one another for comfort and for safety
to remind each other that these are moments that we will survive from

Nothing else matters when you are faced between life and death--there is no in between.

In this precious time we have on earth, it's more said than done--love yourself harder and love your friends and family deeper. Don't waste a moment in regret or anger, don't stay in a place where you are unable to let go and not forgive. ---In the end, it doesn't really even matter.

Embrace this life, celebrate it everyday, be grateful we are here and alive, as others are not as lucky like us. Let us celebrate for them, don't let this tragedy go in vain rather let it be a constant lifetime reminder--that this very moment, it could be the last.
